Employer Information

An Injury Reporting system:

  • Outlines the steps to be taken following an injury;
  • Is communicated to all employees;
  • Includes the name(s) of designated person(s) to whom all accidents, injuries and hazards (those workers can’t correct themselves) must be promptly reported;
  • Explains how the employer will transport an injured worker to appropriate medical care;
  • Identifies the forms that need to be sent to the Yukon Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board (YWCHSB);
  • Mentions that an injured worker needs to give a copy of the Injury Report and the “Return-To-Work Functional Abilities” form to the employer;
  • Includes keeping copies of the relevant YWCHSB forms, or have access to online forms, at all worksites.
