Programs: Return-To-Work (RTW)

Any size employer can qualify for Programs in Return-To-Work. This level includes maintenance of The Basics and Foundations, plus some additional requirements.

Programs level of Return-To-Work includes:

  1. Return-To-Work Basics; plus
  2. Return-To-Work Foundations; plus
  3. Return-To-Work Program, which includes:
  • Return-To-Work Program Documentation:
    • Policies and procedures that outline the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of the parties involved in Return-To-Work
    • Guidelines for addressing accommodation issues
  • Return-To-Work(RTW) Committee:
    • Meets at least quarterly for meaningful consultation with management and workers on RTW program elements
    • Provides advice on complex RTW issues
    • Does not handle day-to-day developing or managing of RTW plans for injured workers
  • Evaluation, Communication and Revision Protocol:
    • Developed and implemented through the RTW Committee
    • Conducted at least annually, or more often if required.
