Do I have access to the claim file?
Yes. Upon written request, a worker, a dependant of a deceased worker, or their representative, has access to the entire claim file. An employer has access to information that is relevant to the review or appeal. When an employer applies for access to the file, the worker is informed of the request and has a chance to object to the release of irrelevant information before the employer receives the information.
It is illegal to use the information from a claim file for purposes other than the review or the appeal.
