Prevention Fund
The YWCHSB set up a $5 million temporary Prevention Fund to support the start-up of initiatives that benefit Yukon workers and employers by building a strong safety culture and preventing work-related injuries and illnesses.
When the Prevention Fund was available, the YWCHSB looked for initiatives that:
- Focussed on developing a strong culture of workplace safety and health
- Benefited a wide range of Yukon workers and employers
- Were sustainable after start-up support from the Prevention Fund
- Involved collaboration between workplace parties
- Required minimal draw on YWCHSB resources
- Showed measurable results
