Workers’ Responsibilities
- take all necessary health and safety precautions
- use appropriate safety clothing and equipment
- comply with health and safety procedures and instructions
- correct hazards if possible; if not, report them to supervisors
- report all work-related injuries and illnesses promptly to supervisors
- fill out and send in a Workers’ Report of Injury/Illness as soon as you’ve had a work-related injury or illness that results in medical treatment outside the jobsite or needs time off work beyond the day of injury.
- refrain from horseplay, fighting or practical jokes on the job
- stay off the worksite if impaired
- select health and safety representatives and safety committee members
