Yukon Mine Rescue Guidelines
In an effort to enhance, augment and update the current mine rescue requirements in sections 15.36 and 15.37 of the Yukon Workplace Health and Safety Regulations, the Director of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) has provided the Yukon Mine Rescue Guidelines. These guidelines are to assist surface and underground mine operations to comply with WHS expectations.
Western Canada Mine Rescue Manual
Every mine has to maintain a mine rescue team to help ensure the safety of workers and property on mine sites throughout B.C., Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. This manual has been crafted to demonstrate the basic equipment, procedures, practices, and principles that mine rescue trainees need to know before they respond to incidents at surface and underground mining operations.
