Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board remains in strong financial position
The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) has released its 2022 annual report, which is now publicly available. The report highlights WSCB’s funded position and features initiatives the board undertook last year.
The funded position at the end of 2022 was 131 per cent, down from 143 per cent in 2021. This decrease was due to poor investment returns in 2022. Fortunately, WSCB has weathered the worst economic downturn in over a decade and remains in a strong financial position. The organization continues to operate with resilience, efficiency and in the best interests of Yukon workers and employers.
