Safety Build kit and contest

Safety Build classroom kit

The Safety Build program offers students a chance to build LEGO models to show what they can do to keep safe and explain why making healthy choices is important for everyone.

A free Safety Build classroom kit—complete with lesson ideas, story template and a set of LEGO bricks for each student—is available to support teachers and help students have fun while learning about health and safety. And we’ll do a free class visit to introduce the kit! We hope students and teachers can use these materials to improve the Yukon’s culture of safety for years to come.

Call 867-667-5645 or email [email protected] to sign up for an initial class visit and free classroom kit.

Win prizes by sending in pictures of students’ builds! Teachers can submit pictures and give students a chance of winning great LEGO prizes. Pictures can also be posted on our Safety Build contest entries page. We’re looking for builds that show the details of students’ activities and surroundings, the dangers students encounter and safe choices students make. Just fill out the submission form below.

Safety Build contest form

The Safety Build contest gives students a chance to show what they know about safety and enter to win fun prizes! One entry per Yukon student in Grades 1 to 7 is eligible for the draw each month. All entries from a calendar month will be eligible for that month’s draw. Builds have to be original, not from LEGO sets.
All entries become property of the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) and winners consent to WSCB using their entries for promotional purposes. Personal information collected will only be used to contact winning students and will be destroyed when the contest is over.
